Frequently Asked Questions

Does this automatically detect dead pixels?

No. A browser cannot read the physical condition of your display panel. Inspect the colors yourself; completing the test does not certify a defect-free monitor.

What should I look for on white, black, and RGB?

Look for dark dots on white, continuously bright dots on black, and dots with a different color on red, green, and blue. Check that a suspicious dot is not surface dust.

How do I test multiple monitors?

Move the browser to the monitor you want to test before starting fullscreen. Test one display at a time, exit, and move the window to the next monitor.

What if fullscreen is unavailable?

The test fills the browser window instead. Browser chrome is outside the test area; maximize the window or retry in a browser that supports fullscreen.

Can this repair pixels or determine warranty eligibility?

This tool does not repair pixels or decide warranty coverage. Photograph persistent defects and check the policies for your specific product with the manufacturer or seller.
